Never Use Spam

Risky email marketing is a technique many people stupidly try and they think it can effectively results into big money quick. Well, better think again! When you are sending someone an unsolicited email, it is called SPAM.

When people receiving your messages have no interest in your offer, or they simply don’t know you and don’t want to know you, chances are the will only delete your message into the trash bin and you’re tossing your marketing dollars down the toilet.

If you were marketing a revolutionary new juicing machine, would you want to distribute 100000 direct mail pieces to names and addresses indiscriminately grabbed from the yellow pages? Or would you rather be more intelligent and send your offer a mailing list of people who have manifested some interested with diet, fitness and organic living?

It must be bullseye and not bull! No legitimate businessperson would ever send thousands of emails to random people taken from the net. Does this mean that email campaigns are doomed before they start?  Of course, not at all. As long as you use emails that are safe, you will never regret it all.

Working In Pajamas

First thing first, I’m not saying or insinuating that all of the so-called online gurus are not just a bunch of liars nor do I intend to label them all as some type of wicked, money-sucking net scammers. I still believe that most of them are not and may have good intentions in the first place.

I know a lot of people who are proud to be called as gurus and they are mostly one of the most hard working and smart people around and most of them authentically think about your success. However, most of them can’t work on their pajamas and definitely not uncovered.

And yes, I accurately mean they can never work without wearing any clothes — and here’s the bizarre reason why. Want to know? Listen to this. Most of these “gurus” you know online are actually working in some type of an office, with all kinds of employees, and staff running to and fro. In other words, they are not working at home which might be what they want to project they are.

They don’t work single-handedly. They are never “working at home” in the true sense of the word. They don’t have what you might describe as a “home-based business” and if they worked in the buff, they’d get sued!

Or worse maybe they’d end up on YouTube as the newest viral video celebrity as the “naked guru” Now look I don’t want to give a wrong impression on this, I don’t work without clothes either but I can work in my pajamas anytime or even without anything just in case I want to.

That’s because I am really working in my own home without the benefits of any employee. In other words, I have a one-man operation and business. Unlike most people you’ve been learning from, I’m really working at home just like what you might have in mind. And I don’t like to boast anything on that.

Though I work for myself at home without a staff or any employees, I am making good income for the past many months.

Now if you want to work uncovered, that’s all right but please don’t send me any video of you doing it.

Last week, I came across a good article talking about death or something related to that. Actually, this was sent to me by a good friend of mine. So, it never means that I am dying any time soon. Frankly speaking, this is not one of my preferred subjects in the world to talk about. However, there is something of this story that captured my attention and it was the implications death has for people classified as entrepreneurs and those who are non-entrepreneurs.

The article was about a lady who works in an exceptional hospital where everyone is on their death beds.  Looks like a Halloween story to me. Anyway, this same woman realized that there are two frequent death bed regrets people have before joining the “other place.”

The first is failing to muster enough courage to go for their dreams. This is indeed very sad any way you look at it. It personally worries me whenever people allow fear and social pressure coming from family and friends to hold them back from freely pursuing their dreams.

On the other hand, entrepreneurs are people who go against the flow. We don’t care that much of what others might be thinking.  We’re in fact more afraid of not trying than failing.  And frankly, we tend to thrive well on naysaying and pressures.

Okay, so that was the first regret. The other one was: “I wish I didn’t work so hard.”

I can sympathize with this one. When I was stuck in the corporate ladder selling mufflers for about 60-70 hours per week, all I did was work and work.  I scarcely ever saw my family. And by the time I did, the problem is I was already too tired, drained and exhausted to enjoy them and give quality time for them.

Now don’t get me wrong on this. Today, I still work a lot of hours. But it’s my choice and nobody is dictating me on what to do. And it’s not draining anymore… nay it’s revitalizing!  Frankly, entrepreneurs are fidgety unless we are doing something.  And we would like to ride from one success into another.

Yes, there’s balance – this is very important! But work is no more “work”, it is already more of a play.

And thus, I’d bet few of the people who regretted working so much were entrepreneurs by heart.  Most likely they were eagerly working for “the man” – certified members of the 40/40 club (meaning working 40 hours a week for 40 long years). They were just trapped in a pyramidal corporate system.

And you know what? Wasting your life working for someone else is definitely a big reason for big regrets. Surely, it is a big stealer of your time needed with the family. And at the end will never pay you for your true worth.

Becoming an entrepreneur has never been this easier.

Plan Your Lift Off Now

While watching a documentary on rocket science, the narrator emphasized that in getting a rocket into space the most difficult piece is the Lift-Off phase and breaking out of the gravity pull of the earth. Do you know that it is also the same thing as far as launching your very own business whether on the net or not?

Just think what’s happening at the back of each rocket launch — the most uneasy time for everybody involved. Myriad hours have been worked to get this far, and your hopes are hinging on this one gigantic shot.

Lastly the countdown begins…10…9…8…until that massive gush of energy and the message “We Have Lift Off!”

Then the great effort begins for the rocket to get past of the ground for a voyage that could last for numerous years. And bear in mind – majority of the power and fuel is worn out just getting started.

As the whole shebang struggles to leave earth’s atmosphere tanks of fuel are burned up and discarded, and a clumsy monster becomes a lean, mean, space machine.

Then something else amazing happens…there is no more gravity.

No more huge bursts of energy or fuel are needed. The controls loosen up and become much easier, and everyone back home in mission control breathes a collective sigh of relief.

The hardest part is over — the rocket is finally in space.

Sure there is still work to be done. However, compared to the beginning everything now almost runs in automatic. You even have time to enjoy the view!

An online business works on the same scenario. The hardest part is LIFT OFF! The most difficult part for most people is getting started.

Do you realize that 80-90% of the work involved with your business is getting started? And once you get going it becomes easier. While there is still work to be done it almost runs in automatic.

Your business can have a very long and successful journey once you are over that initial hurdle. So keep working hard until you get that weightless feeling. Then you can start to enjoy the ride!

A lot of businesses drive their customers at random. However if you really want to get a control of how many people get into your business and how many people buy from you then you should be using a form of marketing called as Direct Response Marketing.
